By Jennifer Slattery
In just under two months Clash of the Titles will celebrate our first anniversary. So much has happened this past year, it's hard to believe more time hasn't passed. And yet, at the same time, the months flew by! We've chatted with great authors and launched a summer book club. And through it all, we continue to grow.
In response to our cyber-growth, we've added three talented staff members: Raquel Byrnes, author of Purple Knot; Delia Latham, author of the Solomon's Gate Series; and Kate McCurdy, author of Journey of Faith. To help us keep up with our growing site and blog alliance, Patty Wysong joined the COTT family as our webmaster-extraordinaire.
(Over the next several weeks, you'll have a chance to get to know each of these new family members.)
On a more personal note, April Gardner, our Senior Editor, launched her best-selling debut novel, Wounded Spirits; Lisa Lickel received a new writing contract; Amanda Flower was nominated for the Agatha Awards; Michelle Massaro launched her weekly story improv; Gail Pallotta added a devotional series to her blog; and I placed in numerous prestigious contests, including the Christian Writers Guild Operation First Novel, and rejoiced when my critique partner, Diana Prusik, signed her first contract with Tyndale Publishers for her debut novel, Delivery.
Starting this summer, upon the advice of numerous friends and colleagues, Jennifer Slattery decided to use her marketing and critiquing skills to benefit others. She'll remain on COTT's staff as their marketing manager and Clash host, but now she also work for Tiffany Colter, the Writing Career Coach as a publicity assistant and manuscript critiquer.
And make sure to come back Monday when we'll get to know our latest competitors.
