Excerpt A came from Gail Pallotta's Love Turns The Tide
About the book:
Twenty-six-year-old Cammie O’Shea suffers through a traumatic split-up with her fiancé and moves to Destin, Florida. Determined not to be hurt again, she avoids relationships and yearns to be near friends and family. She needs God more than ever, but feels estranged from Him. Attempting to re-build her faith, she turns to the Bible. One day she reads Romans 8:28, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him…” She ponders how living in Destin possibly could be good for her. The success of the new paper where she works hinges on her interview with Vic Deleona, a real estate developer. He thwarts her efforts to complete an article she’s writing about him, arranges extra meetings and attempts to court her. She resists his advances. Then mysterious break-ins occur at Cammie and her friend’s condos. When Cammie and Vic launch their own investigation into the vandalism, Cammie grows close to Vic. In the midst of the confusion she gets an opportunity to return home to her old job. Will Vic solve the crimes and win Cammie’s heart or will she leave Destin?
About the author:
Gail’s husband, Rick, says she’s the only person he knows who can go in the grocery for a loaf of bread and come out with the cashier’s life story. That’s probably because she enjoys talking to people. In her spare time she swims or bargain shops with her daughter. Sometimes they try on garments so wrong for them, they laugh for fifteen minutes. When they finally find a treasure, they’re so pleased.
After writing articles for years Gail’s friends and family encouraged her to write books.
In 2004, the year her first book, Now Is the Time, was released, the American Christian Writers Association named her a regional writer of the year. Last year a scene from Gail’s romance e-book, Love Turns the Tide, won the Clash of the Titles competition in the best nature / weather category.
Gail is a member of ACFW and is on staff with Clash of the Titles. She wants to write books of faith that show God’s love.

A Killer lurks in Headley Cross…
…And Holly Carmichael is the only woman to survive his attack. Now she lives in fear, searching for normalcy and trying to put her life back together. When she meets Kyle Stevens, he turns her world upside-down. He’s as exasperating as he is appealing. How can Holly make sense of her awakening feelings when she’s so unsure of Kyle? As Holly struggles to restore her damaged faith, she must find the strength to trust once again—in Kyle and in God.
Kyle Stevens isn’t ready to live again. Racked by guilt, he’s afraid to feel. His sole focus is finding the Headley Cross serial killer—his girlfriend's murderer. That is, until he meets Holly Carmichael. He’s drawn to Holly, vows to protect her where he failed to protect his former love.
